Industrial controls and automation

A machine is only as reliable as the transitions between its sensors, logic, drives, actuators, operators, and upstream or downstream systems. WLK scopes PLC/HMI/SCADA work, robotic integration, machine vision, industrial software, and brownfield modernization around those transitions.

Industrial control equipment and system integration

Start with the installed system

We review drawings, backups, versions, alarms, I/O, network dependencies, safety functions, and the operator's actual sequence before deciding what to change. Existing platforms may need a repair, a controlled retrofit, or a staged replacement. Each choice has different downtime, licensing, parts, and rollback consequences.

Make behavior testable

Define valid inputs, known state, expected outputs, timeouts, faults, and recovery. Vision work starts with lighting, fixturing, part presentation, trigger timing, and acceptance criteria. Data and AI tools may help classify evidence or flag anomalies; physical actions stay behind deterministic logic, permissions, and required safety controls.

Typical scope

PLC and HMI changes; SCADA and historian interfaces; robotics and motion; machine-vision inspection; VFD and device integration; industrial networks; edge applications; commissioning tests; operator documentation; and troubleshooting of existing or obsolete equipment. Platform compatibility and authority are confirmed before a proposal.
